Terms of Service
Effective April 2, 2026
These terms govern your use of Book Binder, including the web application at mybookbinder.com and the Desktop Agent software. Please read them carefully.
01.Acceptance of Terms
- —By creating an account or using the Book Binder service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
- —We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be communicated by email.
02.Your Account
- —You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- —You must be at least 13 years of age to use Book Binder.
- —One person may not maintain more than one account without prior written permission.
03.Your Content & Files
- —You retain full ownership of all files, books, and content in your library. Book Binder does not claim any rights to your files.
- —You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to store and read any file you import into Book Binder.
- —Book Binder is not a cloud backup service. You remain responsible for maintaining your own copies of your files.
04.Acceptable Use
- —You may not use Book Binder to distribute, share, or transmit copyrighted material to which you do not hold a valid licence.
- —You may not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Desktop Agent or web application.
- —You may not use the service in any way that could damage, overload, or impair our infrastructure.
- —You may not create accounts programmatically or use the service via automated means without prior written consent.
05.Subscription & Billing
- —Free accounts are available indefinitely subject to the limits described on the Pricing page.
- —Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis via Stripe. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
- —We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. You may cancel before the price change takes effect.
- —If a payment fails, we will attempt to collect it for up to 14 days before downgrading your account to the free tier.
06.Termination
- —You may delete your account at any time. Deletion is permanent and all associated data will be removed within 30 days.
- —We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
- —Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
07.Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- —The service is provided 'as is' without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- —Book Binder is not liable for any loss of data, files, or reading progress.
- —To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
08.Governing Law
- —These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the state in which Book Binder is incorporated.
